歌詞の意味
冒頭の「Justice or Evil」という二択は、すぐに確信へつながらない。誇りを保とうとしても戸惑いは消えず、傷も塞がらないまま、語り手は神に答えを求める。善悪を判定する側に立ちたいという強がりと、判定そのものを引き受けきれない不安が同時にある。数字を数えて全速力で走り出す言葉も、迷いがなくなった証拠というより、迷いを抱えたまま動き出す合図に聞こえる。仲間と叫び、「君」と最後まで行くと繰り返すことで、一人では持ちこたえにくい局面に誰かの存在を置いている。
心臓から吐き出すものが夢や「アイ」であり、モザイクが必要かもしれないと続く箇所には、自分の内側をそのまま見せることへのためらいがある。そこで思いがけず涙が出るのは、強い言葉で覆いきれない感情が表へ漏れた瞬間とも読める。理想とタブー、孤独と幸福を一緒に爆ぜさせる反復は、都合のよい感情だけを選んで前進することを拒む。臨界点で「君」と泳ぎたいという願いも、安全な場所へ逃げたいのではなく、危うさを分け合いたいという方向を示している。
後半で語り手は、揺れるモラルとエゴの中で正解を自分で決めると言う。しかし、それは最初の問いに明快な答えが出たからではない。外から渡される規則を壊しながらも、なお「アイ」を教えてほしいと求める点に、強さだけでは片づかない人間らしさが残る。死を重ねた「死ガラミ」という表記は、逃れたい束縛の切迫感を強める一方、最後に心を撃ち抜くのは「君」の声だ。制御できない反動をただ敵視するのではなく、そこから動き直す力へ変えていこうとする姿が見える。
