歌詞の意味
濡れた靴は重く、信号は赤のまま。それでも歩こうとする姿から、頭では整理できない恋の状態が見えてくる。夜がほどけず、影だけが先へ進む冒頭では、自分の意思と周囲の時間が噛み合っていない。君のいる方へ向かいたいのに、目の前には越えられない境界がある。題名の「リクツジャナイ」は、その境界を消す答えではなく、止まる理由があっても止まれない気持ちを受け止める言葉なのだろう。
踊り続けるという表現も、無邪気な楽しさだけでは捉えにくい。息を止め、壊れかけのリズムに身体を預けながら、まだ続けている。「欲しいのは答えじゃない」と言った直後に、それでも求めてしまうと続くため、本人にも願いの形が定まっていないように読める。恋を説明してほしいのか、応えてほしいのか、その区別さえ曖昧なまま、動くことだけが残っている。
窓に映る顔が少し知らない自分になっている場面では、相手を思ううちに自分の輪郭も変わってしまう。君の好きな笑顔まで昨日と違うという小さな違和感に、その変化が表れる。さらに、思いは増えるのに居場所は減る。気持ちの大きさが関係の安定につながらず、むしろ身動きの取りづらさを深めているのである。雨が過ぎても空が低いままなのも、出来事が終われば心も晴れるという単純な回復を拒んでいる。
終盤の「欲しいのは君だけじゃない」は、それまでの君だけを照らしたい、探しているという言葉に揺さぶりをかける。ここを単純な一途さへ言い換えると、歌詞が抱える矛盾が失われる。君を求める気持ちと、ほかにも満たされない何かがあるという感覚が同居しているのかもしれない。何を望むのかは最後まで説明されない。それでも名前を呼び、迷わず歩くという姿勢は残る。闇がなくなったから進むのではなく、背負ったまま進もうとするところに、この恋の危うさと意志がある。
