歌詞の意味
十二の色は、一月から十二月までの時間と重ねて示される。ただ季節の美しさを並べるのではなく、君がいることでありふれた今日が愛おしくなるという言葉が、全体の見方を決めている。冬空に願い、白い街を歩き、春には笑顔と桜を見る。同じ一年の中で景色が変わることと、二人で過ごした日々が増えることが同時に進む。カレンダーをめくる動きは、二人だけのページを重ねる動きにもなり、誰にでも訪れる季節が、世界で一つの記録へ変わっていく。
二度目の一月からは、少し背伸びをする、新しい靴を履くという、自分から動き出す姿が加わる。三月も最初のはにかむ笑顔だけでなく、こぼれた涙を含むようになる。その涙が四月の花びらに溶けていくという描写は、悲しい出来事がなかったことになるのではなく、次の季節の景色と混ざっていくように読める。八月も、太陽が歌う昼のイメージから夕焼けへ変わる。同じ月を繰り返しても、そこに置かれる感情や光が違うため、一年は同じ円を回るだけではない。思い出が増えた分だけ、世界の見え方も少しずつ変わるのである。
