五から一へ数えるカウントダウンの後、準備はできているという返事が来る。気持ちの高まりをひとりで語り始めるのではなく、呼びかけと応答で同じ時間に入っていく始まりだ。心地よい波風、良い歌、食事、愛が並ぶ場面では、楽しいものが特別な一つの出来事に限定されない。その喜びが積み重なり、気持ちが走り出したところで「Game on」と言う。勝敗や競争相手を細かく描くより、ためらわず動き出す合図として働く言葉である。
