道を見失った理由を、語り手は痛みと恥の両方から問い直します。自分がいつ色あせ、いつ目を閉じたのかさえ分からない状態で、相手が見せた光によって初めて目を開き、星々を「あなたへ続く道」の目印として見つけます。
