流れ星を空へ打ち返すと、驚いたUFOが落ち、ホームランを叫んだかぐや姫の物語は、教師の微笑みとともに居眠りから覚める教室へ着地する。空想は現実から逃げるためだけの場所ではなく、充電が満タンになるまで自分を休ませる時間として描かれている。胸の中ではウサギとカメがずっと競争しており、急ぎたい自分と、少しずつでも進む自分の両方がいる。だから「ハンデ有りのノンフィクション」は、夢のように何でも簡単になる話ではなく、不利な条件や眠気を抱えた現実を、そのまま逆転劇の始点にする宣言である。
