楽曲解説
諦めきれないまま夜通し河川敷を歩き、藪蚊やコウモリ、枯れすすきに囲まれます。そこへ雨まで降り、ずぶ濡れ、泣き濡れ、風邪までひいたのに、返ってくる言葉は「心配無用です」です。状況はまったく大丈夫ではありませんが、その落差がこの言葉を強がりとして響かせます。路地裏で「あいつ」に似た三毛猫を見つけ、未練が日常の小さな景色にまで入り込んでいることも示されます。
終盤では「心配すんなよ」と相手に呼びかける形になりますが、すぐに「ヤケで歌います 痩せ我慢です」と本音を明かします。安心させるための立派な根拠はなく、歌うこと自体が雨と孤独をやり過ごす手段です。同じ失敗や濡れ方を何度も繰り返しながら、それでも「心配無用節」と名付けて節回しにすることで、情けなさを隠さず笑いへ変えます。大丈夫ではない人が大丈夫と言い続ける、その不格好な粘り強さが残ります。
