「ただいま」から始まるのに、すぐに「出かけない？」と誘いが続く。帰る場所があることと、そこから新しい景色へ向かうことは、この歌詞では対立しない。海の匂いが恋しくなったら旅に出て、寂しくなったらまた話す。その往復を支えるのが「君」とつなぐ手だ。天気予報が都合よく晴れ続きでも、旅は予測不能だと認めている。準備が完全に整ったから進めるのではなく、思い立ったこと自体を出発の合図にする軽やかさがある。
