歌詞の意味
冒頭に並ぶ「Plastic」「嘘をつくJustice」「栄光とSacrifice」「生と死のMobius」「見せかけだらけのFact」は、愛や正義、真実といった本来は確かな基準になりそうな言葉を、変形し、裏表を持ち、循環するものとして並べ直している。その中心に置かれるのが、上下を反転すると互いの形へ移る「6」と「9」だ。「反転する“6 notes”」や「69 Paradox」は、片側から見れば正しい判断も、視点や立場が変われば別の名で呼ばれ得るという不安定さを示す。ただし、数字や「Six」「Nine」が特定の一つの事件や意味だけを指すとは歌詞から断定できず、あえて答えを固定しない記号として読むのが自然だ。
その抽象的な矛盾は、「どこかの誰か」の心ない呟きが友にまで疑惑を落とす場面から、人の脆さと「アイツは天へ還って逝った」という喪失へ接続され、現実の痛みを帯びる。両者の因果関係や「Black rain」が何を指すかは明示されないが、止まない疑念や苦痛が周囲の心を病ませ、未来へ暗闇を差す流れと結び付いている。さらに「愛が人を巣喰い出して」と、後半の「愛が人を救う裏で」は、同じ「すくう」という響きに、内側から蝕むことと救済することを重ねた表現とも読める。愛は善として礼賛されるのではなく、誰かを守る力が別の誰かを苦しめ、傷つける可能性まで含むため、正義と同じく単純な一色には塗れない。
英語で畳みかけられる「誰が白を白と定義するのか」「誰が黒を罪に定めるのか」という問いは、罪を英雄へ作り替え、栄光の中で責任を洗い流す権力へ向けられている。ここでの「裏返す」は、白黒を単純に交換して新しい正解を押し付けることではなく、そもそも誰が判定し、その結果として誰の未来が奪われたのかを問い直す行為だろう。だから「瓦礫に咲く花」へ求められる光は、失われたものをなかったことにする光ではない。「自分で選んだシナリオ」を引き受け、壊れた状況を「無限大」へ開き、新しいStageへ進もうとする意志へつながる。最後まで残るのは完成した答えではなく、固定された見方を反転させ続ける姿勢である。
