歌詞の意味
「Man in the Mirror」は、まだ分かっていない相手に「lesson one」を与えるという挑発から始まる。指先、閉じた目、数える呼吸音を重ね、鏡像同士が傷を探す関係を身体的な距離として描く。「You're sweet」と「空っぽな自惚れ屋」が隣り合い、甘さと自己陶酔の空虚さが同時に現れる。
