歌詞の意味
拒絶の言葉が積み上がり、痛みの向こうを見ようとしてつま先立ちになる。ここで語られる前進は、邪魔されずに進める道ではない。冒頭の「Last one's face」という断片だけでは、その顔の持ち主や状況は確定しないが、続く言葉には限界で踏みとどまる主体がいる。舞い降りる紙をパラシュートになぞらえる表現も、周囲の不安定な動きを具体的にする。遠くを見たい気持ちは、痛みから目を背けるためだけではなく、その先にも何かがあるか確かめようとする欲求なのだろう。
